Palamedes PR was appointed by award-winning children’s author Julie Hodgson in April 2017 to promote her novel Jodie and the Library Card. We were tasked with securing exposure within national and family-orientated media for the author and title.
Jodie and the Library Card has won several awards, but despite this the fact that the book was self-published in the UK presented a challenge when it came to securing media exposure. To get around this we developed a compelling thought-leader article inspired by the themes of the novel as well as arranged competitions. We also focused on regional newspaper exposure and placed a book review with Lovereading.
This book PR campaign secured national exposure in the Daily Mirror, Female First and Closer, as well as regional coverage. Each of the editorial products we created achieved 100% coverage with a combined reach of over 102million.
